Steak in Marchand de vin Sauce


1 Steak of your choice to serve two
3 Tablespoons unsalted butter
3 Teaspoons chopped shallots or green onions
1/2 Cup dry red wine
1 Teaspoon Awake-a-Steak seasoning


Pan fry steak in heavy iron skillet. Remove to platter. Pour off any oil. Add 1 tbs. butter and melt. Add shallots and cook 1 minute (until soft). Add wine. Increase heat. Cook and stir until reduced to 2 tbs. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and Awake-a-Steak to taste, pour over steak.
